Wimpey dives into the big blue

The UK's first national Oceanography Centre - home to all aspects of oceanographic research - is under construction by Wimpey in Southampton.

The œ29 million building is being built for the National Environment Research Council and will contain an aquarium, temperature controlled investigation area and the National Oceanographic Library.

Construction of the 22000m2 complex, which began in January last year, is due to be completed in nine months' time.
