Cat's new telehandler

Cat showed two of the five model line-up of new telehandlers due to be launched sometime in September this year.

The new models are not direct copies of Merlo, but the firm has certainly learnt from the concept of side-mounting the engine, hydraulics and transmission - which is a four speed powershift. The method of getting the drive from the side over to the central propshafts is a secret.

The full range will encompass machines with lift heights ranging from 7m to 13.5m
