Birmingham City Council is inviting contractors to prequalify for a œ10 million section of the Heartlands spine road between Bromford Lane and Chester Road, 7.5km north east of the city centre.



Cheshire County Council is inviting tenders for a œ7.5 million project to construct a new 1.2km route for the A57 in central Warrington between Froghall Lane and Brick Street roundabout.



The DoT is looking for a contractor to part demolish, modify, repair and strengthen the 200m long Old Roding Bridge on the A13 Southend to London road. Estimated cost is œ4.5 to œ5 million.



Shepherd has a œ5 million contract for Mid Glamorgan CC to build and fit out a new comprehensive school in Hirwaun, South Wales.



Clugston has a œ4.3 million contract for a new sewage treatment plant at Crankley Point, Newark for Severn Trent Water.



Hall and Tawse has won a œ3.8 million design and build contract at Goojerat Barracks in Colchester. It will build an office block, guard house and refurbish existing buildings for the MoD.



Lovell has been awarded a œ3 million contract by South West Thames Regional Health Authority for the construction of a forensic psychiatric clinic at Springfield Hospital, Tooting.



Snape Design and Build has a œ2.7 million contract to build a residential nursing home at Heathlands, Prestwich.



Trafalgar House in association with local Cypriot contractor, Cybarco, is constructing a œ2.5 million sewerage tunnel near Limassol, in Cyprus.



Tarmac is to build seven new retail units at Kingsditch Retail Park, Cheltenham for MFI Properties under a œ2.4 million contract.



John Sisk has won a œ2.8 million contract to build a new day procedures unit at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.
