Access equipment manufacturer JLG Industries marks its 25th year in
the access business with the launch of three new machines.
All three battery electric tele-artic boom lifts join three
existing models and feature all steel platforms which are
automatically self levelling.
Platforms are end mounted to minimise underhang and entry step
height and have a continuous toeboard to prevent tools and
materials falling from the floor. Offering work heights of 12.7m,
in standard and narrow aisle versions, and 15.7m, the new models
are the 35 electric, n35 electric and 45 electric. While the narrow
aisle n35 electric is just 1.5m wide, 35 and 45 electric models are
1.75m wide.
Safety features include manual descent from ground level controls,
and a 'deadman' type footswitch in the platform to prevent
involuntary operation and rotation of the superstructure.
Boom internals are easily accessed via a bolt-on cover at the base
of the boom. Externally adjustable, lube-free wear pads, low
friction teflon pins and forged pin keepers reduce maintenance
downtime, it is claimed.
