Thomas' skidsteers

Thomas Equipment's latest skidsteers, targeted at the UK market, comprise a new generation S-series skidsteer, the T-83S, and the T-233ST, an upgraded version of its original top of the range model, the T-233HD.

A special feature of the T-233ST is the 46.2kW 6 cylinder Kubota diesel.

Other features mirror those on the T-233HD.

As well as standard central and four-point lift features, the T-233ST offers reinforced ROPS/FOPs, strengthened wheel rims, extra rear end protection with reinforced rear door, and heavy duty radiator and bumper to protect fuel and oil tank frame.

The S-series skidsteer, the T-83S, a more compact machine than the T-233ST, replaces Thomas' smallest skidsteer the T-83. Fitted with a new 14.8kW Kubota diesel - model D722B - the T-83S retains the same rated lift capacity of 363kg to 2.4m hinge pin height of its predecessor. Changes for the operator include a wider operating compartment with new control panel.

The ROPS/FOPS structure is now 117mm lower than that of the T-83. A Quick-tack system enables equipment from the T-83 to be used on the T-83S

New features include fuel and hydraulic tanks built into the frame, a retractable seat belt and safety hinge bar.
