Truro-based MacSalvors, one of the first plant hire companies to
offer cranes for hire in Cornwall, has invested in a new Krupp KMK
4090, 90t all terrain crane.
Commenting on his investment boss, Cameron MacQuarrie says: 'After considerable research we chose the Krupp as it gave the best combination of long and short radius duties coupled with a long boom. It is also able to carry its full counterweight on a compact and highly manoeuvrable four-axle carrier, which, with its good power-to-weight ratio, twin engines and Megatrack suspension, make it particularly suitable for negotiating Cornwall's narrow roads.'
The new crane heads MacSalvors existing fleet of 17 all terrain and truck mounted cranes.
