The first of its kind

Exeter based GML Plant and Haulage has recently taken delivery of a Benford skidsteer loader fitted with a cold planer.

Benford's planer - the first of its kind - according to a company spokesman, is only 300mm wide. Requiring low levels of oil it has been designed to fit compact skidsteers. GML's new machine is a S40 skidsteer. Only 1.6m wide the skidsteer, not only fits on pavements, but features a cross slide framework enabling the planer to do side by side passes. Unit power enables depths of 100mm to be achieved in each pass, whether the material be tarmacadam or concrete.

In our issue of 26 May we referred to Grove Worldwide's Manlift MZ90CX access boom as having the 'lowest' outreach in its class. The word should of course been 'longest'. Apologies to Grove Worldwide.
