Interchangeability with Linktip range

One of several new products on show at last week's Institute of
Waste Management exhibition, was a Volvo FL618 17tonner fitted with
Linktip's GLD10 demountable equipment.
Not only designed to carry Whale vacuum tankers, the equipment also suits Linktip's steel dropside tipper bodies.
Destined for Ryedale District Council the new unit will replace a hired tanker which has been used for cesspool emptying. The GL10 is the largest ground loading demountable system in the Linktip range, with a 10t maximum payload. The bodies are interchangeable with those on GLD4, 5 and 8 models. All offer air/hydraulic operation and automatic locking with rear-facing hooks. The payload penalty of the demountable system is about 1t.
