Blue Circle signs up Aussie developer

Blue Circle has signed a conditional contract with Australia- based property developer Lend Lease Corporation for the œ300 million Bluewater Park shopping centre at Dartford, Kent - one of the largest out of town retail centres with planning consent left in the UK. The move follows the recent withdrawal of Legal and General.

If the contract becomes unconditional the developers hope to start enabling works later this year or early 1995. Lend Lease will set up a consortium of UK and international institutions to fund and own the development on completion.
