Tarmac awarded A3 repair work
Tarmac has been awarded a œ10.1 million contract by Surrey
County Council to undertake repair works on five miles of the A3
near Cobham. The work requires complete reconstruction of the hard
shoulders and inside lane of both carriageways. The outer lanes and
sliproads will be repaired and resurfaced. Four bridges need deck
repairs and re-waterproofing.
Meanwhile, Tarmac Quarry Products has won an œ5.2 million
contract to reconstruct three and a half miles of both carriageways
on the M180 near Brigg in Humberside. The work will take place
between junction 4, the A15 interchange at Ermine Street and
junction 5, the A15 interchange at Barnetby Top.
