A refurbished modular building is providing badly needed office
space at the East of England Agriculture Society Showground near
Peterborough. Supplied by Globalmobile of Goudhurst in Kent, the
new addition cost just over œ50,000.
The new office, adjoining the show's headquarters building,
provides 324m2 of additional room for the management team and other
departments who were formerly housed in a wooden structure which
was showing its age and which was already too small.
In the hope of finding an economic alternative, showground manage
Tim Winham phoned Globalmobile, who al ready had two small
buildings on the show ground site.
The building providing the new accommodation was originally sited
at Warrington, but has now been refurbished to the client's
instructions with thermal insulation and decoration.
The cost was about half that of a completely new modular structure
and a fifth of the cost of a brick-built building which had been
considered.
Describing it as 'excellent value for money', Winham said he would
not hesitate to buy from Globalmobile again.
