New tech works better than hand cream
There was a time when you could tell what sort of a job a person
had just by looking: farmers wore weather-beaten faces, fishermen
sported thick home-knitted tops .
But modern technology is a great leveller. Alan Pillinger,
technical director with Bison Structures, says computer-aided
design has had such an impact on work routines that the men in his
workshops now complain that their hands are turning soft.
Good grief! Perhaps someone could get them a slot in the adverts
for Fairy Liquid.
