Wimpey pulls in work up north

Wimpey's Gateshead office has won a œ6.9 million D&B contract to construct a 7,600m2 office development for British Nuclear Fuels at its Thorp reprocessing plant in Sellafield, Cumbria. The work involves the construction of two four-storey buildings linked by a common plant room and stairwell.

Wimpey also has a œ3.5 million D&B contract to construct 93 low-cost homes at Royal Quays, North Shields, on the River Tyne, for North Housing Association and Habinteg Housing Association.
