So just who are these Major people?

Tucked away among the appendices to Sir Michael Latham's report is a list of meetings with various individuals and interest groups.

It includes a reference to talks with the Major Contractors Group.

Is this the same body as the 'Major Construction Groups' - one of the three signatories to the May statement announcing the imminent advent of Newco as a new, united building and civil engineering employer organisation?

If so, just who are the members of the group? What is the group's constitution and remit? What are its policies and who decides them?

Who do they speak for and with what authority?

Do they meet at The Dorchester?

We think we should be told.
