Cat partners for reclamation
Upgraded for 1994, Caterpillar's RR-250 Road Reclaimer and SS-250
Soil Stabiliser are set to partner the company's recently
introduced RM-350 and SM-350 in the UK's expanding road reclamation
and resurfacing markets.
Features include higher tractive effort, new drive componentry
coupled with a new lubiricating oil cooling circuit, and wide
opening doors to the engine compartment. Low wear bushing has also
been introduced.
Powered by a 14.6 litre, turbo charged Cat 3406B diesel engine, the
new RR-250 and SS-250 develop 250kW at 2,100rpm.
Increased tractive effort has been introduced to enhance
performance when operating the SS-250 on soft underfooting or when
operating the RR-250 in deep cuts.
