Civil engineer Stephen Burrows, 51, has joined the Morrison
Construction Group as director responsible for developing privately
funded infrastructure projects in England and Wales. In his new
role he will endeavour to secure a greater proportion of the
company's civil engineering workload on a non-traditional basis
where creative design and finance packages are the key to success.
Adrian Morris, 45, is to join construction and tunnelling group
Donelon Tyson plc and is to become the company's finance director.
The appointment follows the retirement from the board of Michael
Alexander. Morris was previously deputy to the group financial
director at Norwest Holst Holdings.
Hugh O'Neill, 48, has been appointed regional director for Scotland
by Ballast Nedam Construction.
Continued growth of Tarmac Construction in the north of England has
led to the appointment of an operations director for the region.
Cliff Gilbert, 51, will operate out of Tarmac Construction's
recently opened Building Division offices at Metro Centre East
Business Park, Gateshead.
Helen Dootson has been appointed management surveyor at the Eric
Wright Group.
Lovell Partnerships has appointed a new regional director to take
charge of its housebuilding operations in South Wales. Jim Cropper,
40, joins the company with 20 years' experience in social housing
and private development.
At Eve Group, following the April promotion of Peter Adams to group
finance director, Graham Foster, formerly deputy md, succeeds
Gerald Hough as group md. Garry Orpen, md of Eve Graham and Eve
Arclive, has been elected to the group main board. Derek Haynes has
been promoted from general manager to md of Eve Structures.
D&A Lifts has appointed Andrew Jeffers as head of its new
northern base.
