Expamet barrier absorbs sound

Expamet's FreeWay Noise Absorption Barrier reduces noise pollution by absorbing sound, rather than reflecting or deflecting it. The system comprises 2440mm x 600mm sound absorbing panels located into galvanised steel posts. On the highway side of the barrier, galvanised expanded metal mesh allows sound to pass into 80mm thick Rockfibre insulation via a weatherproof membrane. Noise levels can be cut by as much as 25%, claims Expamet.
