Higgs and Hill wins contract

Higgs and Hill Southern has been confirmed as the winner of the contract to refurbish 100 Park Lane in London.

The deal to refurbish the 1820 Grade 1 listed headquarters ocupied by Hammerson is thought to be worth about œ18 million.

The work involves upgrading the ground, first, second and third floors and the job will be complicated by the fact that Hammerson staff will remain in the building during construction. The main entrance will be given a new marble floor and new doors. Classical finishes in other areas will be enhanced.
