Business village plan resurrected

Property development company, Dysart Developments has joined forces with Millhouse Developments to resurrect long-standing plans for a multi-million pound village project at Stannington, Northumberland.

The project aims to provide a 'business village' by combining business and office accommodation with 800 new houses, a school and shops.

Meanwhile, a North Yorkshire county planning officer is recommending that controversial plans for a 1,400 home village outside York should go ahead. The county council wants to build the new town in in southern Ryedale to take the housing pressure off York. However, Ryedale District Council and other local councils still oppose the idea.
