Out of the blue
The building industry's support for the Conservative Party might
have sunk to an all-time low, but it's nice to know they have - or
had - one unashamed, all-out Tory fan.
Yes, Bournemouth builder John Jackson, who died recently at the age
of 79, credited the Conservative party with making him rich and so,
having never married, and with no surviving relatives, he left his
entire estate of œ1,096,000 to Central Office where a grateful
recipient said: 'He was clearly a true believer'.
