Scottish Museums seeks bids
The National Museums of Scotland is seeking a management contractor
for the construction of a new wing of the Royal Museum of Scotland
on Chambers Street, Edinburgh.
The job was previously advertised as a traditional JCT 80 style
contract with contractors' design supplement.
The contract covers the construction of frame, shell and core of
the extension, as well as installation of exhibits and
commissioning of services. Coordination of completion of finishes
with the installation of exhibits is of particular importance.
Project management is by the Edinburgh office of Turner and
Townsend Project Management.
