Kier awarded military build

Kier Build has clinched a œ28 million contract to construct a
new infantry barracks at North Tidworth Hampshire for the Tidworth
Garrison. The award is Kier's second current major project on
Salisbury Plain.
The work comprises the complete rebuild of living, training, administrative and technical facilities, along with a new road network, workshops and garaging for military vehicles and car parks. A listed building will be refurbished and all sewerage and drainage renewed.
The project manager is TBV Schal and the design team is TBV Consult. The client is Defence Works Services and completion is due in July 1997.
