First Cat 322 sale in UK to Magfern
The first Cat 322 24t machine sold in the UK has been delivered to
a Derby-based earthmoving and demolition company.
Nick Faulkner, a director at DNS Magfern, a long-time Finning
Caterpillar customer, commenting on the deal, said: 'We had a range
of 10 Cat excavators to choose from, and after careful
consideration decided that the 322, in performance terms and costs,
met our needs and budget.'
The 24t machine was sent straight out to work on a new school
complex where it is handling bulk excavation.
Finning's full repair and maintenance contract and scheduled oil
sampling (SOS) preventative maintenance service has been
welcomed.
'Avoiding downtime is vital to anyone in this business and
Finning's support means our machines stay on the job as much as
possible.
'A good example of this being a Cat 225DLC we had for four years.
It clocked some 8,500 hours and spent only two days "off the
road",' claimed Magfern's Faulkner.
