Load indicator meets EC spec
Wylie Systems' new WW440 truck loader indicator - manufactured to
the latest British Standard 7262, also meets the requirements of
new European directives which came into effect on 1 January
1995.
Benefits over the WW440 predecessor, the WW435 overload indicator,
include improved lifting capacities and increased safety for loader
crane operators.
As well as giving a constant indication of the safety margin, the
unit's coloured high intensity LEDs show the proportion of
loading.
A duplicate display option allows operation from either side of the
vehicle. In addition, an automatic derate ability provides
different lifting parameters for on-tyre or slew related
tasks.
Alan Godden from Thomas Transport who assisted with test trials for
the new unit said: 'The WW440 is not only easy to operate but it
also gives the driver both audible and visual warnings of approach
to overload - a distinct benefit when the driver is faced with
unfamiliar loads.'
