'Worthwhile' Autoguide
Seeboard's eight Autoguide Equipment augers are proving 'really
worthwhile', according to Seeboard's auger operator Graham
Pemble.
Mounted on Pesci SE105/2 10.5t/m cranes, which have an 8m reach and
are fitted to 4x4 17t Mercedes Benz 1820s, the company claims these
units overcome the problem of placing poles in difficult
surroundings.
The Autoguide Equipment 50,000 PXV variable speed/ torque
powerheads are equipped with 450mm diameter augers which have
telescopic shafts, allowing them to drill down to depths of over
2.5m.
Extending the auger from the 1.2m closed position to its full 2.2m
length only requires repositioning the pin which holds the
telescopic shaft.
