Try acquires Turbo Plant
Try Group has bought Turbo Plant Hire for œ577,000 together
with assumed debts of œ355,000. Turbo Plant, based in
Crowthorne, Berkshire, will be integrated into the existing network
of outlets run by Vine Plant, Try's plant hire subsidiary.
Turbo Plant made a pre-tax profit of œ55,000 in its last
financial year (ending June 1994). The merger of Turbo with Vine
Plant is not expected to result in any redundancies.
Peter Howell, Try chief executive, said: 'Turbo Plant has produced
consistently good returns in recent years. Its asset base of
quality plant and an attractive customer profile marks another step
in our planned expansion.'
