Birse Construction has appointed Brian Jackson as managing director of the building division. He has spent the last 27 years working for Taylor Woodrow, being responsible for the majority of its building operations in the Midlands and the North.

Peter Aspden joins Sitemaster Panels (from Blok'n'Mesh), as UK sales and marketing manager. Based at its manufacturing facility in Manchester's Trafford Park, he will be responsible for overall sales.

Malton-based Harrison Construction has appointed Malcolm Scott as managing director. Scott will head Harrison's managerial team as the company expands its business across the region.

Mike Ogden has been appointed landscape director at Gavin Jones. Based at Chertsey, Surrey, he will be responsible for the commercial landscape division with a turnover of œ3 million.

Bob Williams, former group property director for Grand Metropolitan has been appointed a non-executive director of Redrow Group.

Colin James has been appointed regional manager for Miller Construction's Central region based in Rugby. He joins the management team under managing director central and north, Brian Guy, and his responsibilities include Miller Conder Projects (the design and build arm to Miller Construction).

Shepherd Engineering Services has announced the appointment of Les Francis as managing director.

Geoffrey Osborne has appointed three new directors to the board of Geoffrey Osborne Civil Engineering. They are Mike Petter, Steve Parrett and Peter Taylor.
