One in three go to tribunal
One in three firms involved in a TUPE-type transfer of undertaking
become involved in a dispute resulting in their being taken to an
industrial tribunal, according to a straw poll of
contractors.
'The cost implications nationwide are simply mind boggling,' said
Rudi Klein, secretary to the Specialist Engineering Contractors
Group. The poll was taken last week at a special seminar on TUPE
staged by the HVCA in conjunction with legal consultant Nabarro
Nathanson.
