Lost for words
The latest battle of Ucatt does not cease to amaze even those most
familiar with the machinations of 'the premier construction
union.'
It had been estimated that a High Court wrangle over whether the
lay general council acted properly in suspending the full-time
executive might be resolved in just two days.
But counsel for the executive completely lost his voice and had to
withdraw. Which meant the case went into a second week. Ucatt
members too might be forgiven for being speechless as they
contemplate just how much this is costing in legal fees.
