Is there a red menace in the house?

Is BBC journalist John Humphrys irredeemably identified with left wing, anti-Government causes? Such is the impression left by Tory MP Jonathan Aitken in his attack on alleged BBC political bias in which he instanced Humphry's role in chairing a discussion following a rally against Government education cuts.

The question is pertinent because Humphrys was also chosen to chair 'The Building Debate' at the last BEC national conference on building for recovery which was held in Westminster some 18 months ago. Has the BEC been infiltrated? Is Humphrys playing a double game? Aitken must surely investigate.
