Trafalgar House pulls out of œ380 Hams Hall

Trafalgar House Business Parks has pulled out of the œ380 million project to construct a rail freight terminal distribution and manufacturing park at Hams Hall, Coleshill, east of Birmingham. Trafalgar House Property managing director, Alan Winter, said: 'Our strategy is to focus more on the creation and ownership of income producing assets and the Hams Hall scheme doesn't fit this aim.'

Trafalgar's former jv partner PowerGen is to continue with the scheme. PowerGen aims to develop the site in four phases over the next decade. Plans include a Channel Tunnel rail terminal capable of handling over 1 million tonnes of freight a year and 140ha of distribution and manufacturing park.
