œ250m retail plans for Southampton

Plans for a œ250 million retail development in Southampton have been announced by Imry Developments. The developer has put in a revised planning application for the 111,260m2 Western Esplanade scheme.

Work could start in summer 1996 and will comprise two major stores, 75 smaller retail units, a 23,225m2 office building and parking for 4,200 cars. A conference centre and leisure facilities are also in the pipeline.
