Best years of your life

Oh, for the innocence of days gone by! Pearce Construction has been carrying out building work at West Buckland School near Barnstaple and discovered the hidden secrets of pupils from 50 years ago. The firm has found - horror of horrors - cigarette butts and World War 2 pin-ups stuffed in cracks in the plasterwork.

What will contractors find in 50 years' time when working on school projects? Judging from the goings on at some private schools recently they're more likely to find strange white powders and syringes. Come to think of it, it would bring a whole new meaning to 'crack in the plasterwork'.
