Costain/Taywood make first base
Costain Taylor Woodrow has completed and floated out a new gravity
base tank for a BP rig, so finishing the first stage of its journey
to the Harding field, 220 miles north of Aberdeen.
The massive concrete structure - built in a œ50 million
contract - was tugged off to a temporary anchorage six miles away
at Great Cumbrae Island where it will be tested before handover to
BP. It will complete its journey to the field in the early summer.
