Backbites is marking the double whammy of the welcome return of the
cricket season and the impending local elections with a new caption
competition to get your heads round.
Prime Minister John Major visited two building projects this month which have been carried out by Exeter contractor EBC group. The two were the Bishop's Fox Community School in Taunton and - close to the PM's heart - a new Centre of Excellence at Somerset County Cricket Club.
The œ750,000 design and build contract includes new hospitality boxes and a club shop which will be ready for this week's opening games.
While at the centre, the PM turned his arm over - but apart from noticing that his white cricket shirt has been caught up in the wash with his red underpants, what is Major's message for construction?
