Tilbury finishes off depot roof

Tilbury Douglas is finishing work on the 30,000m2 roof of a new road/rail mail interchange at Stonebridge Park, north west London.

The œ37 million hub has been designed by architect Broadway Malyan to replace all Royal Mail depots currently situated at main London railway stations and will handle a fifth of the UK's daily total of 64 million letters when it opens next year.

The structural engineer is Mott MacDonald.
