John Mayne has joined the team at Bickerton Group as contracts manager to help handle an expanding workload. Mayne will be based at the group's headquarters in St Albans.

The plant company of Morrison Construction Group has appointed a general manager to maintain closer contact with customers. Barry White will be responsible for three UK based plant depots - Grangemouth, Methley and Arlesey.

Rob Webb has been appointed construction director of E Turner & Sons, Cardiff's oldest building company.

A chartered engineer, he has worked in the construction industry since leaving university and has worked for Turner since 1992 as a contracts manager.

Doug Greasley has been elected to the main board of directors of the Westcol Group and managing director of Wescol Structures. Greasley has been divisional managing director of Wescol Midlands.

Birse Construction has strengthened is North East region with two senior appointments. Jeff Sharkey has been promoted to regional director for the building division. And Steve Barker joins as marketing manager for the civils division.

Saville Tractors has appointed Geoff Williams as sales director, based at their head office in Stratford upon Avon.

JT Design Build of Bristol has appointed Tony Leyshon as the new regional sales director responsible for business in the Midlands and North of England.

The company has also appointed Gerry Fitzpatrick as the new national sales director, responsible for obtaining suitable enquiries and orders throughout the UK.
