Nooteboom claims a first with lowbed
Dutch trailer manufacturer Nooteboom claims it has hit the industry
with another first.
Nooteboom's new Extra Low Semi-lowbed trailer, first shown at BAUMA
1995, offers a lower deck height of only 590mm.
To achieve this low level, the Dutch firm has redesigned the
complete axle assembly and axle fixing.
Using the trailer's air suspension raise lower facility allows the
deck to be raised by 155mm to obtain extra ground clearance or
lowered by 55mm to overcome height restrictions.
The deck which is 16m long, can be extended further with a 3m
supplementary extension.
Nooteboom's low semi-lowbeds are available with three, four and
five axles and an optional lifting front axle.
On the four and five axle trailers, the last two axles are
self-tracking, whereas on the three axle version, only the last
axle is self-tracking
