Bucknall Austin wins CM contract for Nokia job
Bucknall Austin has been appointed construction manager for Nokia
Telecommunications' œ26 million development in Camberley,
Surrey. The fast-track contract will provide 9,500m2 of production
facilities to produce base stations for mobile phone networks and
7,000m2 of offices for 750 people.
The production building is due for occupation in September 1995 and
the offices in spring 1996. Bucknall Austin originally brought in a
project manager, but took on the construction management role after
Nokia decided to adopt that procurement route.
