Tenders documents for the second tranche of DBFO road contracts
will go out in June, for return in the autumn. Actual construction
should begin some time in the spring of 1996. Shortlists for these
schemes were announced by the DoT this week. No new consortia have
emerged this time round.
There has been some surprise within the industry that Trafalgar
House's has managed to get on three of the schemes, twice with
Wimpey and once on its own. Five other consortia got onto two
schemes each.
