Helby leaves AirBoss

Andrew Helby, md of puncture-proof tyre maker AirBoss Ground Engagement has resigned from the company after five years at the helm. The new md is David Hammond, finance director for the past two years. Hammond told CJ: 'We saw a need to cut costs and Andy was one of our biggest costs. He saw that and decided to resign. I'm cutting our European sales force and we're moving head office from Abingdon to the factory at Didcot.'

Hammond stressed that new tyre sizes will be announced within three months and that no production jobs at Didcot are being lost.
