A clean formula for negative bad feeling
Remember the ludicrous formula we published in last week's Back
Bites - the one used by City bankers Merrill Lynch, and called 'A
simple model of house price dynamics' - and the suggestion that
readers might like to come up with an alternative?
Well Gareth Hawkins of RBC of Barry, South Glamorgan, did just
that. MD of a œ300,000-a-year turnover group that concentrates
on civils (roads and bridges), Hawkins offered a most colourful
reply.
W.C.'s = no. of bathrooms
EQ = value of negative equity
F.B.F. = Feel Bad Factor
Wondering how to calculate FBF? Hawkins has the answer: it is the
average Tory majority in the last three votes in the House of
Commons.
