Retractable wheels on Hop-Up platform

Euro Access Platforms has been busy revamping its Hop-Up work platform. After extensive re-design, Euro's latest Hop-Up platform, offering a 215kg safe working load, is now equipped with permanently mounted trailer/industrial wheels which can be retracted to enable it to be wheeled through a standard 0.85m wide doorway.

Other changes to the unit, which can support two men working at heights of up to 7.5m, include a modified tow bar. Following its modification the bar can be adjusted to suit the height of the towing vehicle and then stored in the upright position to double as a handle when manoeuvring the machine on site.

The platform's four stabiliser legs have been relocated to pull-out from each corner of the chassis and are fitted with electrical interlocks. According to Euro,this ensures the platform cannot be used until all outriggers are extended and locked.

The Hop-Up 1 and Hop-Up 2, which have maximum working heights of 6.3 and 7.5m , can be powered by a choice of 110 or 220V mains electricity, on-board batteries or air, and are virtually maintenance free.
