Faced with a big Dublin warehouse to dryline, Birmayne Ltd., looked
around for a machine to help. It needed a scissor lift platform
with a good height capability, a high weight capacity and a big
platform area.
A JLG 500RTS scissor lift proved the answer. It can work up to 17.24m and it can lift 907kg while its hydraulically powered deck extensions can take the platform area out to more than 12m2. The overall deck length of 6.73m meant a man could stand at each end and handle the large drylining panels in perfect safety.
Four wheel drive gave the necessary power to move around the site and Birmayne pronounced itself well pleased with the machine. This was the first operational use of a 500RTS in the UK.
