WHPrice adds low loaders to plant fleet

WH Price of Birmingham has recently taken delivery of five Peugeot
Boxer/AL-KO low loaders for its expanding West Midlands plant hire
operation.
The new vehicles, featuring AL-KO's low-level chassis conversion which gives a low platform height, are proving a useful addition to the fleet when it comes to loading and unloading.
The low loaders, whose platforms are only 300mm from the ground, are rated for 3.4t gvw.
Phil Roberts, hire and fleet manager, reveals that the Peugeot/AL-KO low loaders, which first came into the delivery fleet in 1990, achieve about 25,000 to 30,000 miles per year and produce an average of 25 to 28 miles per gallon.
