Cat 320 replaces 215 model
Lanarkshire-based Henderson Kerr has replaced a five-year-old Cat
215 with the new 21t 320. The machine, fitted with a special magnet
attachment, is currently being used to load processed scrap at the
company's Bellshill facility near Glasgow, at a rate of 200t a day.
Director Ian Nisbet said: 'The 320 was taken on following the
performance of a Cat 215 which had more than proved its toughness
and reliablity over the years. The 320, a larger machine featuring
more advanced technology, gives us significantly enhanced
productivity.'
Henderson Kerr, a 120-year-old business which also has depots in
Ayr and Dundee, processes and exports about 75% of its product to
such places as Spain, Turkey and the Far East.
