Peterborough picks Kato
Peterborough Crane Hire, looking to increase the versatility of its
crane hire fleet, has invested in a Kato KA300 all-terrain
crane.
Already operating a number of Kato cranes, the company, according
to boss Stuart Smith, chose this particular crane because of its
compact configuration and four-wheel steer capabilities.
In addition, Smith was attracted by the machine's roadability and
versatility. Commenting on the company's acquisition, Smith said:
'It is an extension rather than an addition to our existing fleet.
It lets us take on a wider range of jobs.'
The new unit, said to offer the same high speed performance as a
similar truck crane, features steel radial tyres giving extra
stability and grip and a maximum lifting height of 34.9m.
