Two month delay for N.London Line
Late design changes on Jubilee Line project 111 have delayed the
reopening of the North London Line by two months to July. Efforts
by main contractor Mowlem to claw back lost time since the New Year
had succeeded but the design changes - for 'trackside safety
reasons' - once again slowed work.
A spokesman refused to say what the design change entailed.
n Tunnelling on Aoki/Soletanche's contract 105 was halted at the
weekend after a hole appeared in a church yard measuring 3m3. The
hole has been filled with concrete.
n The Lord Bishop of London and the Bishop of Southwark are to
visit the Jubilee Line Extension project.
