Pumping it up

Following its success with the V4 pump - the first in a series of low noise, highway-towable pumps - Ingersoll-Rand has launched a V6 150mm contractors' pump. As with the V4 unit, the V6 pump is a vacuum-assisted self-priming centrifugal pump with maximum flow of 249m3/h. The unit's housing is the same as that used for I-R's portable compressors and portable generators.

Bauer-type connections are said to match the standard piping used in the construction industry and ease coupling in the field.
