O'Donnell name change
E O'Donnell, the civil engineering group based in Bradford, West
Yorkshire, has changed its name to Pipeline Constructors
(Northern). Derek Pitts, managing director, points out that
O'Donnell has been part of the Pipeline Constructors Group since
1986.
Mountleigh's clegg dies
Tony Clegg, the former chairman of property group Mountleigh, has
died. The company's market capitalisation rose from œ8 million
in 1982 to œ372 million six years later.
Clegg sold his shareholding in 1989. When Mountleigh collapsed in
1992, it owed œ147 million to bondholders and a further
œ400 million to its bankers, Barclays and Citicorp.
